Day Twenty-Six through Twenty-Eight

Not so many days behind this time. As I'm writing this the boys are getting ready to head to bed. An hour later than normal, but it's acceptable since they have no school tomorrow. Tom went to bed early because he had a horrible headache and has swim qual at work tomorrow. Anyway...onto the pictures.

Day 26
This is Anthony cleaning the baseboards in the kitchen. He was supposed to have done his "fair share" in cleaning up the back yard and he didn't, Tommy ended up doing the majority of the clean-up. So, this was Anthony's additional chore.

Day 27
Grocery lists, coupons, printouts, etc. I'm trying to begin a better spending trend at the grocery store so that we can save some money. I've spent quite a bit of time gathering coupons, checking out money saving and couponing websites. I've only scratched the surface when it comes to this whole couponing trend so I can't say I'm spending next to nothing, but if at the very least I can shop smarter to save more money then I'll be happy.

Day 28
It was sunny and 65* here in SoCal today. A beautiful day and perfect afternoon for a much anticipated play-date. Everyone grabbed a wheeled vehicle and they were off. We learned that Tommy really needs a bigger bike and Alex will probably learn to ride without training wheels before Anthony. Anthony likes his Razor scooter so much more than his bike. It was nice for us all to get out of the house for a few hours and enjoy the warmer weather and sunshine.

Day Twenty-Three through Twenty-Five

Day 23

Alex was playing with Rocky and then Rocky realized that Alex still had some remnants of lunch on his face.

Day 24

We let the boys use their Toys R Us gift cards. This is what Tommy picked out. Awesome in theory, he hadn't seen Halo Legos. But, they aren't "real" legos, these are made by Mega Blocks. They suck. The boys had gotten some a few years ago for Christmas, but I had hoped that their quality had gotten better since then so I didn't mention it when Tommy picked this Halo kit out. Ugh, putting it together sucked and it's basically in pieces again. Poor kid.

Day 25

We used this Maple Chops recipe by Sam the Cooking Guy for dinner this night. They were really good and easy to make. The boys even ate it without asking for dip, which is saying alot! :)

Days Nineteen through Twenty-Two

So.. it looks as though this posting every four days could become a routine. lol I'm going to try very hard not to have this be my normal posting habit. I've been out of the process of taking pictures for a few months and I feel like it shows through in my pictures a lot. I'm trying to take more pictures and get back to trying out different angles and test the lighting and try to use it as much to my advantage as possible. Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

Day 19

This is the prediction for our weather for the week, rainy. This is our "bad winter weather", if this is all I'll take it over feet of snow and lots of ice.

Day 20

Tom helping Anthony do his homework. Anthony was taking so long that they worked right up until I started setting dinner on the table.

Day 21

Today was the day for our ultrasound. It was obviously for medical purposes, but since the baby cooperating we were fortunate enough to find out that we are going to be having a little girl join our family.

Day 22

When we found out I was pregnant again I found all the baby clothes I had been trying to sell and stashed them all away. Since we found out that we need to begin to include pink and purple into our mainly blue color palette I decided to sort through all the clothes. Out of all the stuff I had been holding onto, this was all I had that was unisex enough to use for a girl. Figures. lol At least we have something for her to wear though, it could be worse.

Days Fifteen through Eighteen

I got a bit behind in blogging, I never meant to do 4 days at a time. lol Oops. Well, tomorrow we'll try to at least get back on an every other day schedule. I don't have today's photo ready to go right now, but I do have it ;)

Day 15

How I spent a bit of my time on Friday night, filing our taxes.

Day 16

Tom playing with Rocky.

Day 17

I'm not thrilled with how this photo came out. I was playing with my 85mm lens which I hadn't gotten out in a while and I've come to the realization that for what I take pictures of, it's just not a good fit for me. I have to stand soooooo far away that it's ridiculous. lol Anyway...here's Tom playing Call of Duty with a friend online.

Day 18

This is my favorite of all 4 days. Alex and Tom ate some cereal together on Monday morning. I took all sorts of pictures from all different angles, but this one turned out the best.

Days Twelve through Fourteen

Day 12

Tommy and Anthony sitting at the table doing homework together.

Day 13

All 3 boys went to the dentist today. This was Alex's first visit, well the 2nd time that we tried to get him seen, but he actually cooperated this time. He went back all on his own, had a couple of x-rays done and let them clean his teeth. We were so proud that he was good about the whole experience. To top it off no cavities for any of them! Although one of Tommy's sealants came off so we have to pay to have that re-done.

Day 14

A couple of guys from Tom's work took apart a few Nerf guns to try to make them "better". They made the darts shoot farther and with more force. Before they put them back together they painted them. When I got back home this afternoon from getting the kids from school this was sitting on the chair in front of the house. The kids were so excited to see it and promptly broke it. lol

Day Ten and Eleven

I knew the everyday posting was going to be short-lived ;) lol That's perfectly ok with me though, I don't want to get burned out on the whole project with only 10 days in. As long as I get a picture for every day I think I might forgive myself for missing a day of updating the blog here and there.

Day 10

Tommy and Anthony wanted to have pb&j for lunch and they offered to make their own sandwiches. They worked very hard at making them just right and thankfully they didn't make much of a mess either.

Day 11

The lamp for our tv finally burnt out after a month of the warning light being on. So when Tom came home at lunchtime he swapped the bulbs.

Day Eight and Nine

We are up to date through day 9. Let's hope that we continue to capture something each day. Onto the pictures.

Day Eight
Alex and I played with Legos while the big boys were at school.

Day Nine
Tom ran to the PX for me and when he got home he told me that the sky was a great color of purple. So I got my camera and ran out the door.

Day Seven

Today was rather boring around our house. I didn't get my phone charged last night so my alarm didn't go off this morning. When the boys woke me up I felt like crap, this cold is really getting old. So I offered to let them stay home since I was in no mood to get out of my nice warm bed and actually wake up. So, I spend a good majority of my morning upstairs in bed.

Tom came home a bit early, which is always nice. Especially today since I've been trying to go to the grocery store since Tuesday. We drug everyone out on our food run. So, the picture for today is rather boring, just a picture of the commissary sign - but I did take a picture and that's what counts. :) I'm hoping that tomorrow is a much better day so that I can knock out my to-do list, which I just keep adding to and hardly ever crossing anything off.

Day Six

Today was an off day in our house. Easy oven pizza for dinner and the boys were allowed to play games most of the afternoon while I dozed on & off on the couch trying to fight off a headache and hope the queasiness would subside. So when I saw Tommy and Alex sitting together on the couch playing games on my iPod I jumped up and grabbed the camera.

Everything was fine with their set-up until I came back with the camera. Then Alex starting acting all goofy and after each shot he just had to see them on the camera. It also didn't help that I just can't figure out a good setting for our crappy orange lighting in our house. I've been trying to change the white balance, but nothing is helping. All the pre-installed settings usually just make it worse. I'm going to have to dig out my manual and see if I can find any tips online. Enough about that though...onto today's picture.

Day Five

We are still trying to get back into a routine after lounging and being lazy for the past 2 weeks. While I was trying to pick up a bit Alex was riding his Diego bike around the house. He put his stuffed doggie pals, Bomber and Bomber 2, in the back and gave them a ride around for a bit.

Day Three and Four

I did not forget about posting yesterday ;) By the time I had a free moment to do anything and sat down at my computer to do nothing I forgot to bring my camera over to pull the pictures off of it.

So, today you get two pictures :)

Day 3

January 3

Tom tried his hand at making the boys homemade icee's on Sunday. Tommy and Anthony were quite impressed, Alex on the other hand, let his dissatisfaction known.

Day 4

January 4

Today we all went back to our normal weekday routines. Alex and I spent the day cleaning and trying to put our house back in order after nearly two weeks of us completely neglecting the house. This is what is left of our Christmas decorations that need to be packed away.

Saturday, January 2, 2010

Day Two

For day two we spent a good amount of our day out shopping. We returned a couple gifts and exchanged some things. The boys spent the gift cards they got for Christmas. So, when we got home the boys went right upstairs and started playing one of their new games. So, this is typical for the three of them, all glued to the tv playing video games.

It's Day 1 of 2010

Picture for the first day was taken without any hassles. I can almost guarantee that pulling the pictures from the camera and uploading them won't be a daily occurrence. I do promise to try to be more consistent in posting though.

So, without further delay...here is our photo of the first day of 2010.

January 1

The Xbox upstairs has been acting up off and on for a month now. Last night we had 3 red rings flashing at us when the boys turned it on for the first time all day. This morning it worked for a little while before it started flashing again. So, Tom sat on the phone with Microsoft to see if we can get it fixed.
