Day 87
We had a lazy day so we made dinner easy. Anthony was the only one who requested anything really be made for him. He wanted some scrambled eggs, toast + bacon. Tom thought it would be funny to dye the eggs again (we did it at Christmas with our french toast). So he made them purple - only problem was that once they cooked up they turned brownish, almost flesh colored. Anthony wasn't impressed when he was served his dinner. lol

Day 86
Today we had a busy day. We had to wake up earlier than we normally would on a weekend day and get everyone ready to head out. Tommy had soccer pictures at 10am, we had to be there a 1/2 hour early. Plus we had to allow for extra time because they closed one of the other gates this weekend and the base was hosting an Ironman Triathlon today.
So we had Tommy's pictures at 10am, his game at 11:45, Anthony's pictures at 12:00 and then his game wasn't until 4:15pm. After Tommy's game we came home and had Tommy open his presents and quickly got some lunch for everyone. We tried to all relax for a few minutes since it seemed to be chaos from the minute we woke up this morning. We headed back out for Anthony's game later and then headed back home afterwards to pick up Tommy's friend so he could spend the night. We ordered pizza and finally sang happy birthday to Tommy with his candles all lit. He chose a cake instead of ice cream or cupcakes.
I'm tired just from reliving it all...I hope that there weren't too many incoherent thoughts. lol

Day 85
Tommy's big birthday gift from us was a new bike. We wanted to let him pick out exactly the one he wanted, so after school we piled everyone in the car and headed to Toys R Us. We figured we'd hit that store first and then head to Target where he saw a bike a couple weeks ago that he really liked. Plus I heard that Toys R Us had an decent deal going on for Toy Story 1 and 2 on Blu-Ray and combine it with two $10 off coupons from online and we were able to score both movies on Blu-Ray for $13.98 plus tax. Anyway...enough about my coupon madness. :)
Tommy picked out this shiny bike and decided it's the one he wanted. He was happy to get outside and take it for a spin and when we suggested that we go in since the sun was setting and we were getting chillly, he actually said he wanted to stay out and ride it a little longer. He never does that! We came to the conclusion that he might've been embarrassed by his Spiderman bike, plus it was too small so I know it was a bit difficult to ride.

Day 84
Soccer practice. I was trying to get a great picture of Anthony with the blue sky + white, puffy clouds above him but it didn't turn out exactly as I wanted since I forgot to bring my big camera to practice, I only had the point and shoot.
Day 83
Quick + easy dinner when neither of us wanted to cook...we really need to stop eating so much fast food.
Day 82
Anthony putting together the Lego car he got for his birthday. He put most of it together all by himself.

Day 81
Happy 9th Birthday Tommy!!!!
We are celebrating his birthday on Saturday after soccer games and soccer pictures. So, he has to wait a few more days to see what he's getting. I did get to go to the naval hospital and do my glucose test though. What fun stuff.

Day 78
After school we drug the boys out to Best Buy. Funny how they complained so much, but yet they got to spend their birthday money and got two games.

Day 76
Happy Birthday to my little leprechaun! He's 7 today! I can't believe that 7 years ago I was sitting by myself in the naval hospital at Camp Lejeune after having him. My mom was in town but was at my house with my brother and Tommy. I sent a Red Cross message to Tom to let him know of his safe arrival because he was waiting...in Kuwait. Shortly after Anthony was born they crossed the line of departure into Iraq. Thankfully a reporter that was with him let him use his satellite phone a few days into it and I was actually home when he called. He called the night Anthony and I were discharged from the hospital. It seems like a lifetime ago, but yet at the same time it seems like it was only a few years ago. So much has happened since.

Day 74
This was at about 7:30pm - I can't wait to have a chance to get down to the beach to take some more photos near sunset.

Day 73
With the time change and two older brothers that won't let him sleep in, Alex passed out a bit early Sunday night.

Day 70
I was just trying to get a picture of him getting his cleats on when he started posting. I asked him why he was posing like that and he said "Because I'm gangster."

Day 66
We put together the crib we bought from someone off of Craigs List to make sure it fit in the room and that we had all the pieces.
Day 63 - 65
Day 63

On our way to soccer practice.
Day 64

My replacement 50mm lens came in the mail and I was excited to use it again. For some reason all 3 boys were up very early this morning, I found Alex passed back out in his bed shortly after his brothers left to walk to school.
Day 65

The spring soccer season has started and after only 2 short practices we are back to the soccer field on Saturdays to watch with anticipation. Unfortunately neither team won, but it's the first game and they are still getting back into the swing of things. It was especially cold this Saturday, something we weren't prepared for and paid for by freezing.

Day 60 - 62
Here are the pictures for the first couple of days in March.
Day 60

Haircuts for all 3 boys. We had been putting it off for a while, but it finally came time that we couldn't let them wander around looking so shaggy.
Day 61

Today was the first day of soccer practices for the spring season. Alex and I went to Anthony's and Tom went with Tommy. They practice on the same day at the same time, which is great, but they are at different fields. I'm just glad we know Anthony's assistant coach and that Tom kind of works with Tommy's coach so we do what we can and try to have one of us at each practice, but it won't always be possible.
Day 62

Alex really wanted me to let him crack the eggs into the lasagna mix but he arrived just a few seconds too late. So I compromised with him and let him add in the Parmesan...his way was to dump it in the bowl. :)

Day 49-59
Wow, I really got behind in blogging my 365 photos. I've been getting them up on facebook every few days. Not sure how the blogging aspect part of it will be consistent as we continue throughout the year. We are less than 30 days from Spring break when my SIL and nephew fly in for the week and we are just about 90 days from my due date. Needless to say, I might be a bit busy ;) lol
Anyway...onto the photos...Just a fair warning - this post will be image heavy :)
Day 49

Tommy went to spend the night at a friend's house.
Day 50

I awoke to finding Anthony & Alex downstairs camped out on the couch with all their blankets and stuffed animals everywhere.
Day 51

Today was the day we had Alex open his birthday presents since Dad was in the field over his actual birthday. He loved everything and I am glad I captured the look on his face when he opened the DS game from his Aunt Jackie and cousin Jason. I wish it was a better photo, but his face is priceless.
Day 52

Blowing out the candles on his birthday ice cream with a double chocolate chunk cookie :)
Day 53

I ordered a few goodies for Little Miss off of Etsy and was so excited to see them in person. I'm almost glad that all this stuff is a bit pricey, or else I just might have purchased enough for her to wear a new one every day of the her first year. lol
Day 54

We opened a package of girl scout cookies that we bought from a friend and were shocked that we spent $4 on a box of cookies that only had 15 cookies! The boys had that package gone in less than 5 minutes.
Day 55

We had a 15lb box from our good friend Sam arrive. I was astonished to see that she crammed that box full of clothes. I am so thankful that she took the time (and money) to sort through what she had and send us some things.
Day 56

Anthony woke up this morning feeling pretty miserable, so he stayed home from school. I let him curl up in our bed and watch some movies on Netflix.
Day 57

We picked up the wood we needed to make the risers for the washer and dryer. The boys were really itching to help paint, so we let them help for a few minutes.
Day 58

These are the risers we made. They were pretty simple to make and I'm glad that I found Ana White's blog Knock-Off Wood that inspired me to tackle this project. They don't look especially pretty, but they are more functional than a focal point. They serve their purpose and we learned for next time.
Day 59

Shirley and Steve gathered their family to celebrate the February and March birthdays. Tom got all 3 boys to sit with him (for a brief second) while they were getting everything together.
The first 3 days of March will make it in a post of their own.
